If you are traveling from I-77
 

Directions to Rocking Chair Inn from  Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Wilkesboro, NC.. Take 421 North towards Boone. Drive through Wilkesboro. Take route 16 North approximately  21  miles.  At the first stop sign where 16 & 18 intersect turn left, you will go over the New River, continue approximately 1 mile. You will pass Jefferson Landing Golf Course on right. The  white colonial on the hill on the right,  just pass the golf course is Rocking Chair Inn. Turn right into the driveway and park at the end of the driveway.

If you are traveling from Boone
 

Directions from the Boone, NC area: take 421 South towards Wilkesboro. Turn left onto 221 at stoplight in Deep Gap.  West Jefferson is 14 miles. After 12 miles you'll come to your first stoplight where you will see Nations Inn, McDonald's. Ingles grocery store. Continue straight on 221 for approximately 4 miles. You will drive past a small shopping center on the left that has a Food Lion and Rose's Department Store. Less than 1 mile watch for the Highland Motel on your left, go past the first street on the left after Highland Motel, go around the corner (hill on left, farm land on right) and be ready to turn left into Rocking Chair Inn's driveway right past the corner. If you miss it , you can turn around just past the house on your right next to a farm field.
